Our mission is to expand access to higher education in Oregon.

Giving Areas

We provide post-secondary education scholarships for students from north and northeast Portland who plan to study STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math), other professional areas, or attend a Christian university.

We make direct grants to schools and community organizations that are strengthening STEAM education for K-12 students in the Concordia and Northeast Portland neighborhoods.

Our Process

Partnerships are key to the way we work.

We partner with Oregon Student Aid (OSAC) to award post-secondary scholarships. Apply at https://oregonstudentaid.gov/scholarships/.

We partner with the Northeast STEAM Coalition (https://nesteamcoalition.org/) to integrate STEAM studies and activities into the K-12 learning environment, thus increasing the diversity of people in STEAM fields. We also make grants to other organizations that focus on building STEAM capacity.

We partner with the Faubion PreK-8 school to strengthen its STEAM education. Faubion is located in the Concordia neighborhood and is the original 3 to PhD partner.

Who We Are

The Foundation’s board members and supporters have long-standing ties with Concordia University Portland. They are dedicated to improving education for under served students and families, thus creating a safer, healthier, and more educated community.
